I received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore, and a BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have been working with families and children since 1989 in a variety of settings.

I use a family centered/systemic approach to therapy. I believe that the client is central to the therapeutic process and maintains the capacity for growth and change. I focus on strengths rather than deficits, and support the client in finding solutions. I utilize different treatment approaches such as cognitive/behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy.

I work with children ages 3 and older. My approach with children is non-directive experiential play therapy. Play is the language of children and allows the child to tell me their story in a non-threatening way.

I work with children, adolescents, individual adults and couples. I typically involve members of the family when working with children.

I see clients with the following issues: Depression, Anxiety, Relationship Issues, Trauma, Parenting Issues, Family Conflict
